Counseling and support for therapists in Denver

Therapists need therapy, support, and counseling too.

Counseling and therapy for Denver therapists

All therapists and counselors know that therapy is not a typical job. It comes with unique kinds of stress, delicate situations, challenging clients, and situations that no amount of education and training can completely prepare you for. At My Denver Therapy, we have some of the most experienced and active therapists and supervisors in the Denver area—many of our therapists see over 25 clients per week in person in Denver, Lone Tree, Greenwood Village, or online through teletherapy .

Even when you’re a therapist yourself, it’s ok to feel overwhelmed or like you could also need support or someone to listen to you. Many new therapists experience imposter syndrome or self-esteem issues, and even experienced therapists can have challenging seasons where difficult clients and the stresses of managing a heavy client caseload feels like more than you can handle. We provide therapy for therapists with our most experienced, versatile therapists to help you give yourself the care you give to your clients. While therapists are often the support systems for others, we often don’t give ourselves the same care that we give to our clients.

As therapists ourselves, we’ll respect you and your situation. Whether you’ve been working as a therapist for a year or multiple decades, we will help you give yourself the care you need in ways that are specific to the work you do with your clients. As inclusive therapists, we welcome therapists and counselors of all religious and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. In the room, we’ll understand where you’re coming from and tailor our sessions to meet your needs, just like you do for your clients.

Therapists providing counseling for therapists

When therapists come to us for therapy, we match them with one of our licensed therapists who has a wide range of experiences, including:

John Hague, LPC
John brings over a decade of experience working with couples, men, and teens to our Denver therapy office. He has extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence and trauma, and uses EMDR to help his clients reclaim their lives.

Allie Evans, LMFT
One of the most requested teen and young adult therapists in the Denver Metro area, Allie works with individuals, couples, and families, especially those who have experienced trauma. Allie frequently uses Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sandplay therapy, and Somatic Attachment Therapy with her clients.

Leigh Anne Hague, LPC
As the most versatile therapist at My Denver Therapy, Leigh Anne works with children, teens, couples, and families in our Greenwood Village office. She uses EMDR, Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and Splankna with her clients.

Courtneyrose Chung, LAC, LPC, LMFT
As the founder and Clinical Director of My Denver Therapy, Courtneyrose is one of the most sought after trauma therapists and supervisors in the Denver Metro area. In just 3 years, she built a single-therapist business into one of the largest therapy practices in Colorado.

Therapists need counseling and therapy too

As therapists ourselves, we know it’s important to walk the talk. Too often, therapists put everything into their clients, but they ignore the self-care that they ask their clients to use for themselves. We’re here to help you change that.

Even though you’re a therapist, it’s ok to get help through therapy:

  • Get help managing work life balance from experienced therapists whose professional lives look like yours.
  • Work through imposter syndrome, self-esteem issues, or clients who challenge your confidence and feelings of self-worth.
  • Have a support system for the work that you do from someone who intimately understands the challenges of being a therapist.
  • Gain perspective from some of the most experienced and requested therapists in Denver who all have full caseloads, see our most challenging clients, and supervision experience.
  • Take care of yourself and your mental health so that you can provide better, more effective care for your clients.

Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.
