Denver Splankna therapy

Heal with the first Christian protocol for mind-body psychology.

What is Splankna therapy?

If you’ve been looking into Christian mind body therapy, you might have heard of Splankna therapy. It’s known as the first Christian protocol for mind-body psychology, and a select number of therapists in the Denver area are trained to use it with their clients. It’s one of the many therapy methods used in our Denver offices.

Using the same body system that acupuncture and chiropractic use, trained therapists use Splankna therapy to help clients move on from emotional trauma that’s stored in their bodies using a Christian integrative, faith-based approach.

If you’re looking for a Christian therapist in who uses Splankna therapy, our therapist Leigh Anne Hague is an Advanced Splankna practitioner in Denver who sees clients in our Greenwood Village office. She has used her training to help children, adults, and families heal and move on from trauma in its many forms. As one of the most requested Splankna practitioners in the Denver area and Colorado, she’ll help you understand how Splankna works and more importantly, how it can help you heal.

Splankna is a Christian approach to using the body’s meridian system (the same one used by acupuncturists and chiropractors) to get to the root of symptoms to bring about change. Splankna practitioners like Leigh Anne rely on God as the creator of all things, including our own energy. Practitioners acknowledge that many Eastern philosophies were first to recognize the body’s energy system, but they also use the same understanding of our bodies’ energy with their understanding of God and your own personal healing path.

How Splankna therapy integrates your faith

One of the core beliefs of Splankna therapy is that mental health issues are created by our subconscious, and our bodies store the energy related to these issues. Splankna therapy integrates your own spirituality and personal history to help you find a healing path that’s uniquely yours.

Using Splankna therapy, we can help you identify where your body is storing emotions caused by trauma. It’s often very effective for people who are looking for something more or different than traditional talk therapy that integrates their faith at the same time. Splankna therapy can be used in addition to other therapeutic methods, but it’s most commonly used for clients with anxiety and PTSD.

How to get started with Splankna therapy

To get started with Splankna therapy, it’s important to find someone who practices Splankna in your area who has experience working with a variety of different clients. While Splankna started in Colorado, it can still be difficult to find a Christian, licensed therapist who also has been trained to use Splankna with their clients.

A typical Splankna therapy session includes prayer for all the work in session to be done under Jesus’ authority and with God’s guidance to look for places to work on during a session.

During a session, muscle testing is done to determine if the session will start by working on emotions or a tapping algorithm. This type of simple, non-invasive testing is used to access and work through subconscious emotions and ultimately help clear them.

After identifying and clearing a set of emotions, the practitioner and client work together to try and identify the vow that the client agreed to that’s allowing emotions to bond to them. Using prayer and discovery, they break these agreements. Through the process, there’s a trust that God knows what we need better than we do. God is invited into sessions and the process to choose where to go in a client’s heart to resolve symptoms physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

What is Splankna good for?

Splankna therapy is an energy-based therapy that’s often used in addition to other therapy methods to help people transform their memories and improve their overall well-being. It can help people move on from stressful, traumatic events, resolve personal crises, and help people move forward in positive ways with their emotional, spiritual, and social health.

Using Splankna therapy, people can experience healing, freedom, and growth. People are God’s creation, and Splankna provides a way for us to access and treat emotional hurt and trauma that has stayed buried in our subconscious.

It can help release past traumas that we store in our bodies and help you move on when you feel stuck, or even held captive by memories or events that have taken control of your life. It combines body, spirit, and soul working together to heal emotional trauma.

How is Splankna different from EMDR?

There are similarities between Splankna and EMDR, which is one of the most effective ways to treat trauma through therapy. Similar to EMDR, Splankna uses bi-lateral brain stimulation, and it takes things a few steps further with additional ways to help you heal from trauma.

With Splankna, practitioners can also use “direct access” emotional release using pressure points, and they also depend on the Holy Spirit and the power of prayer to intervene against destructive emotional patterns.

Frequently asked questions
about Splankna therapy

What Is Splankna Therapy?

Splankna is the first Christian protocol for mind-body psychology. Using our body's natural systems, it helps people move on from emotional trauma that's stored in their bodies.

Can You Do Splankna On Video Calls Or Through Teletherapy?

While the COVID pandemic brought about many conversations about how to use Splankna virtually, it's not preferred by many Splankna practitioners. Practitioners could use Splankna methods and charts to help guide a conversation about a traumatic event and identify what agreements have been made subconsciously, but most practitioners prefer to use in-person methods, such as muscle testing, during one-on-one sessions to make sessions more effective.

Is Splankna Therapy Biblical?

Using energy healing encourages people to put full trust in ourselves and our bodies, which is a form of worship in itself. While many similar therapy methods don't involve religion, your faith and prayer are a central part of Splankna therapy. In 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22, the Bible tells us to "Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil." The way that we search for healing or relief from pain is a personal journey that often requires testing. The Bible does not condemn alternative types of practices to heal from trauma, but it does condemn teachings that remove God as our creator. With Splankna, we invite God into the process to guide, lead, and heal.

How Does Splankna Work?

Splankna uses bi-lateral brain stimulation, similar to EMDR. Using the body's meridian system, a Splankna practitioner can get to the root of the problem and identify where your body is storing emotions caused by trauma.

Is Splankna Really Christian Therapy?

Splankna is a Christian integrative approach to therapy that uses the same body system used by chiropractors and acupuncturists to help people heal from trauma. While some Christians consider energy work to be Eastern in origin, Splankna practitioners rely on and trust God as the creator of all things. Splankna practitioners can use the understanding of our energy systems combined with our understanding of God to make healing more effective and faith-based.

Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.

Meet our therapists

My Denver Therapy is one of the largest woman-owned therapy private practices in Colorado with many of the best, most requested mental health therapists in the Denver Metro area.

As a therapist-owned practice with decades of combined experience, we care about seeing our clients heal, grow, and thrive. We’re one of the only therapy practices in Colorado with licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, addiction counselors, social workers, and psychiatric nurse practitioners who actively see new clients. Whether you’re an adult, teen, young adult, couple, or family, our inclusive therapist team is built to specialize in you.

Our practice started with one therapist in a shared office suite, but we’ve grown to help thousands of people in Colorado by providing in-person therapy at our conveniently located Denver Metro area counseling offices in Denver, Greenwood Village, and Lone Tree, plus online therapy for clients throughout Colorado. Because of the way our team works, our therapists also provide consultation for other therapists and private practices in the Denver Metro area.

Our inclusive therapists provide some of the most innovative, effective, and in-demand forms of therapy available today, including EMDR, Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, CBT, and IFS. We also have more therapists trained in Ketamine-assisted therapy, EMDR, and more teen therapists and young adult counselors than nearly every other private practice in Denver.

We know that clients want to find the best therapists in Denver, so our team includes therapists with different backgrounds, specialities, and experiences to help you find the right fit. We’ll match you with one of our therapists who is the best for your goals, location, budget, and schedule to help you get started quickly.

We’re out of network for insurance, Tricare, and are unable to take Medicaid, but most of our therapists’ rates are lower than the local and national averages for therapy.

All of our therapists take a client-focused approach to counseling and approach each session with  a commitment to your progress and growth.
