Consultation for licensed therapists in Denver
Grow professionally by consulting with a top therapist in the Denver Metro area.
Clinical consultation for licensed therapists in Colorado
Whether you’re recently licensed or trying to find your place as a therapist in the Denver area, clinical consultation with an experienced, successful licensed therapist can help you learn, grow, and thrive professionally as a therapist. If you’re a therapist seeking therapy, or a licensed therapist looking for help growing a therapy private practice, we can provide that separately.
My Denver Therapy is one of the largest therapy practices in Colorado, and our most requested, successful therapists offer consultation to help other therapists with:
- Converting contacts to clients
- Explore case conceptualization
- Managing client caseloads
- Utilizing and integrating therapeutic interventions
- Handling countertransference
- Setting professional boundaries
When you work with another therapist for clinical consultation, it can help you process the work you do with your clients and develop your skills and approaches to better serve them.
Also, our therapists who offer professional and case consultation for other therapists are licensed, have advanced training in popular therapy modalities, and typically manage a private pay client caseload of 30+ clients per week. They have also provided LPC and MFT supervision to pre-licensed therapists.
Out of our team of approximately 20 therapists in Denver, Greenwood Village, and Lone Tree, they have the highest first contact conversion rates with new clients and are often booked months in advance. They are among the best and most successful therapists in the Denver Metro area, and they can provide perspective and advice to help you grow professionally and financially as a therapist as well. There are few therapists in the Denver Metro area who provide case consultation who actively see as many clients as our therapists do every week.
If you’ve been looking to develop your skills, have a deeper understanding of therapeutic interventions, or even just have been looking for an opportunity to reflect on the work you do with your clients, consulting with another therapist can help you reach new heights, build your confidence, and become an even better therapist for your clients.
Therapist consultation vs. supervision towards licensure
When you’re already a licensed therapist, consulting with another therapist is different than LPC or MFT supervision. In consultation, another therapist acting as a peer provides their insights, suggestions, and resources that can help you as a therapist. They provide advice and share their expertise that has been built through their experience working as a therapist, and you’re not required to follow their advice.
In general, therapy consultations are on a one-off, as-needed basis, which is different from regularly scheduled supervision between a supervisor and supervisee. Consultations can feel like a conversation with an experienced professional in your field, where you receive support and space for you to get guidance and advice on cases, managing all that comes with being a therapist, and even learning skills to acquire new clients.
Consultation rates for licensed therapists
Consultation sessions with one of our licensed therapists cost $175 for a 45-minute session.
Because we’ve found these sessions are typically one-off consultations or on an as-needed basis, we don’t require a package or set number of sessions like many other therapy practices do. We’re flexible, so we’re here to help whenever you need a consult.
We’ll find a time that works with both of our schedules and clients, and we’ll get connected.
