Couples Counseling in Denver
Find your way back to each other
Move beyond communication issues
Do you ever pull into your driveway in Wash Park or the Highlands and take a long pause before going inside, wondering if tonight will be the night you finally “get it right,” or just another evening of polite silence?
Maybe you’re tired of the same circular argument that starts over the dishes and ends with someone sleeping on the couch. Or perhaps you feel like you’ve become excellent roommates—great at managing the calendar and the kids—but you can’t remember the last time you felt truly seen by each other.
If you’re wondering if couples counseling can actually fix the “messy” parts of your relationship, you aren’t alone. Most of our Denver clients come to us feeling exactly like this: exhausted, a little skeptical, and deeply hoping things can change.
Is it time for relationship counseling
In our work with Denver couples, we often see partners who wait until they are at a breaking point to reach out. You don’t have to wait for a crisis like infidelity or a “D-word” mention to seek support.
You might benefit from a neutral space if:
The “Same Old Fight” Loop: You’re stuck in a cycle of criticism and withdrawal that never reaches a resolution.
The Roommate Syndrome: You’re functional, but the intimacy and emotional connection have gone cold.
Life Transitions: Navigating the stress of a new baby, a career shift in the DTC, or the “empty nest” phase.
Trust Gaps: Healing from a betrayal, whether that’s an affair or a series of small, broken promises.
Our Approach: Clinical Expertise Without the Jargon
We don’t just sit back and nod. We use evidence-based frameworks like The Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to give you actual tools.
The Gottman Method: Think of this as the “blueprint” for your relationship. We look at the data of how you interact and help you replace “The Four Horsemen” (criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling) with healthier habits.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): We look at the “attachment” under the surface. Often, an argument about the laundry is actually a question of: “Are you there for me? Do I matter to you?” We help you answer “Yes” to those questions again.
Therapy that meets you where you are
We know that in Colorado, your “neighborhood” is where life happens. Whether you’re navigating the busy professional life of the DTC, raising a family in Arvada, or living in the heart of Denver, we’ve made sure expert support is nearby.
You shouldn’t have to spend an hour on I-25 just to work on your relationship. We offer four convenient office hubs:
Denver: Centrally located for those in Cherry Creek, Wash Park, and the Highlands.
Arvada: Serving our North Metro couples in Old Town, Leyden Rock, and Westminster.
Greenwood Village: Ideal for those working or living near the Tech Center and Centennial.
Lone Tree: Accessible for couples in Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines, and Parker.
Can’t make it to the office? We also offer secure Online Therapy for couples throughout Colorado. Whether you’re in Boulder, Colorado Springs, or simply stuck at the office, you can prioritize your relationship from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
Common questions about couples therapy in Denver
What if my partner is hesitant to come? This is incredibly common. We suggest starting with just one “fit” session. You don’t have to commit to six months today. Sometimes, seeing that the office is a neutral, non-judgmental space—not a place where one person gets “ganged up on”—is all it takes to lower the guard.
How long does couples counseling take? There is no “one-size-fits-all” answer. Some couples find relief in 8–12 sessions, while others prefer a long-term “maintenance” approach. We’ll work with you to set goals that make sense for your specific relationship.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions? We offer both. We have convenient offices in Denver, Lone Tree, Arvada and Greenwood Village, but we also provide secure telehealth for busy couples who can’t make the drive across I-25 during rush hour.
[H2] You Don’t Have to Decide Everything Today Choosing a therapist is a big decision, and it’s okay to feel unsure. The goal of the first session isn’t to solve every problem; it’s to see if we’re the right fit for your journey.

Other Specialties
Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.
